4 Reasons to Choose a Flush Mount Monitor
Nowadays, a flush mount monitor is typically the first choice for many people. Though the reasons vary as to why individuals select to mount their monitors rather than place it on a desktop or on a tabletop, the fact is that it is a great choice. When done right, a flush mount monitor helps make a statement about the home and about the persons living there. It does not detract from the home’s décor because it allows the monitor to be less conspicuous than other options. But aside from style, there are other practical reasons for using a flush mount monitor.
The fact is that a flush mount monitor, once in place, stays in place until you decide to remove it. When using a desktop monitor, for example, the stand can quickly be weakened by someone either purposely or accidentally moving the monitor, which results in inadequate support for the monitor. Moreover, the user then has to adjust their posture to compensate for the low monitor placement that results from inadequate support.
2. Positioning is Perfect
Some people develop body ailments from having to adjust their posture when a monitor is misplaced or placed too low. Sitting uncomfortably for long periods of time will cause this. Because OSHA requires that monitors be positioned at eye level, flush mounting is the optimal choice because it allows users to place a monitor at the exact position they want.
3. Environments with A Lot of Distractions
Since the monitor is mounted right at eye level, the human eye is automatically attracted to that area, thus reducing distractions. Moreover, sound is projected directly at ear level, making hearing much easier. The problem in many workspace environments is that there are many auditory and visual distractions that take one’s attention from the task at hand. But with a flush mounted monitor, that is no longer a problem.
4. Limited Space
Perfect for shared offices or small work spaces, flush mounting means the monitor is on the wall and away from the workspace, making it an efficient option. It frees up space by removing the monitor from the actual work area allowing more space for other materials or items.
