Salesforce Introduces New Data Analytics Tool for Future Data Management
Data is a great tool for predicting future trends and when used and analyzed correctly it can benefit a company greatly. However analyzing data, no matter how well it is presented, is not simple. It takes training, intuition, and an eye for the things that matter at certain times.
The amount of data is projected to increase by nearly 45-fold by 2020, according to predictions. This means that businesses who are having trouble decoding all the data now will find it an increasingly difficult task as each year progresses.
Salesforce has the Answer to This Growing Data Issue
A new tool has been designed by Salesforce to help professionals make sense of the massive information stores using the Salesforce Analytics Cloud. Salesforce Wave for Big Data has aligned with data lake storage sites including Google, Cloudera, New Relic, and Hortonworks to allow businesses to access even more valuable “big” data. An analyst or savvy business owner can now see connections between these platforms and the customer profiles in Salesforce, as well as actual customer engagement data. Seeing this additional data from more than one resource can allow business’ to make more educated decisions geared towards customer satisfaction and growth.
Keith Bigelow announced in a press briefing that Salesforce sees the big data lake as their partners. He also states in relation to the value of the information processed: “We’re pulling in only relevant information, applicable to a particular product or use case, for example — either a small vertical sliver or an aggregate across a swath of customers.”
The growth of data is inevitable as more people use the internet, innovations to control and use this data for good will make it easier for companies to cater to the real time needs of their targeted client base. The partnerships that brought Wave for Big Data into fruition all stand to benefit from increased data analysis. Already there is more than can be analyzed and processed, and the more intuitive and comprehensive the apps for cloud computing and managing this data the better off we will all be in the future.
Being Able to Predict Trends and Problems Means Inventing Apps and Solutions Before They Are Needed.
Data analysis is valuable on many platforms in today’s ever changing world. A good data banking tool, and an intuitive company can foresee problems such as a shortage in flu vaccinations in an area or a surplus of a certain product before the issue actually occurs. Improved data apps are tools that can actually save lives as well as money.
