Dell R620 Slide Rails & Dell R720 Slide Rails
Ready Access and Flexible Configuration
When choosing the right elements for a rackmount server, it’s important to take both current installation and future access into consideration. Providing the ability to easily expand and/or reconfigure racks adds to server room efficiency and flexibility. Both the Dell R620 and R720 racks provide the ability to readily access internal components of the Dell servers for which they are designed.
The Dell PowerEdge R620 slide rails ensure sturdy and stable installations with Dell-compatible server racks. These rack server units provide full slide extension for access to internal components. They utilize 19” EIA-310-E compliant threaded hole 4-post racks (with industry standard 3/8 inch (10mm) square holes. These are not ball-bearing rail kits.
The ReadyRails™ sliding rail kit includes the Dell R620 Slide Rails & Dell R720 Slide Rails. They are designed to provide storage for Dell PowerEdge Servers and PowerVault equipment. The dry slide rails provide consistent and durable use for easy device access.
If desired, there is an optional cable management arm (CMA) for mounting on the sliding rails (right or left) without tools and can be set up quickly for rapid installation needs.
The mounting depth range of the units is 3 inches to 30 inches (76.2 – 762 mm).
As tool-less systems, they provide an alternative to the Dell R620 and R720 rail kits. They fit any 4 Post or 2 Post rack poles with square, round or threaded holes, and are compatible with all Dell rack generations, including PowerEdge R230 to R620 and PowerVault series:
The primary difference in the Dell R620 and R720 rails is their design for specific Dell servers, the R620 and R720 respectively. Both units can be installed in 4 Post and 2 Post configurations as desired. Flush rack server installation is optional.
The racks are tool-less, while the attachment to the chassis of the server requires a Phillips head screwdriver. Several components of mounting hardware are included and the finish is zinc plated. When installed, the front mounting flange of the installed rail fully engages the Dell server slam latch for secure handling when rail is fully extended for access.
